LEHRSKEE sent me defective radio and WILL NOT REFUND!!!

I purchased a 6 disc Mach 460 radio from Lehrskee on 5/25. I was going to install it in my car but things change lol. The radio took roughly a week to arrive. No biggie. When it was on it's way, a buddy explained that his 6 disc was giving out the CD ERROR message, so I told him we could install it in his car. Well, after waiting until we both had some free time i went to install it on 6/24
and this was when we realized the radio is DEFECTIVE. After installing, the radio powered up, gave the CD ERROR message, then the screen went blank. The original radio in my friend's car still powers up.

I immediately sent LEHRSKEE a messaage and explained the situation.
After waiting OVER 2 WEEKS for a response to my PM, I received a message on 7/4 explaining that it worked when it left his hands.
He never wrote "Fragile" or anything on the box, and the radio has a big yellow sticker right on it that says if the radio is dropped, it is scrap!
Now he REFUSES to issue my money back.
IMO, this is something he needs to take up with the post office. It's not MY problem that he didn't get insurance.
NOT COOL.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM LEHRSKEE, HE WILL NOT REFUND MONEY FROM ANY PURCHASES. VERY UNTRUSTWORTHY.
IMO, he knowingly sent me a broken radio. Especially after waiting over 2 weeks for a response.
Is there anything else I can do? It's people like this that make me want to stop purchasing from the Corral's Classifieds

LEHRSKEE, GIVE ME BACK MY HARD EARNED MONEY!!! YOU ARE A SCAM ARTIST AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED!!!

If you didnt wait almost a month to send me a message about it supposedly being dysfunctional then you would have gotten a response right away, because in the weeks following the shipment i was online. If i was trying to rip you off after 2 weeks i would have just ignored the message. Slander me all you want i have 135 things sold on ebay all positive and things on miscalanous forums and never have had an issue. I never had one single problem with that radio and if you ask me it sounds like you installed the radio i sold you and now want to try to return the one which you stated already had this error message. I would have been more than glad to work out a refund if it had been a week, or even two weeks. Im not a retail store im not gonna put a 30 day warranty on it and have you contact me 25 days later and say it has an error message. Just sounds fishy to me.

Yeah, as you can see, this is a real stand up guy.
I've returned pieces to people on Corral on a few occasions. No questions asked.
And who gives a damn about eBay feedback? Is this eBay? I have over 450 feedback on there. ALL positive.

I kind of agree with the seller on this one. You waited quite a long time to bring up the issue that it was defective.

The fact your friend's original stereo gave the same error code as the replacement makes it suspect that you guys may have installed it incorrectly or there is some other underlying issue making both stereos show the same error code.

Not taking sides here, just my observations.

he failed to mention to me that this had happened, when i read it i also had the same thought. The radio was packaged good, you agreed it showed no damage when you received it and was 100% functional when in my possesion. If i was out to screw somebody over it would have been for a lot more than $60 and i would have just ignored your message.

No, my buddys radio worked fine, other than the occasional CD ERROR message.
This radio had the CD ERROR message as soon as we plugged it in. Then it went black.
Pretty hard to plug 2 harnesses in the wrong way or something when they are different shapes.
Pretty obvious it was either sold defective, or just got damaged in shipping (which is between the seller and USPS)

Everything you have told me and are posting in the 2 threads you have are contradicting. First the radio was for you and you were gonna try to wire it into your 98, now it was for a friend. You never told me that your friends car was giving the same message on his radio. Then you wait 25 days to send a message about it. I mean it takes 10 minutes to remove the old stereo and test the new one why would you wait so long? It just doesnt add up.

I completely explained everything already. I was originally going to wire it into my 98.
My friend informed me that his radio was giving the occasional "CD ERROR" code. Therefore, I told him we would install it in his car.
It's not that hard to comprehend.
I think you know you are wrong, you just no longer have the $$$.

I can understand waiting/not having time to get it wired into whatever car you were going to put it in.
I can also understand how the seller sees this b/c it was 3+ weeks before he heard anything about the issue.
I for one look for ANY feedback with members I am dealing with, so his ebay score would play into a transaction here. But for $60, I dont think anyone with any feedback and coming on to give his side roughly 4 hours after you posted this would risk their rep on.
Try to settle it guys, but one of you will not be happy. Both sides are valid

What I've learned so far from this thread: Do not sell to badass98svt. He is an idiot.

This could have all been avoided if "Fragile" was written on the box.

That would have made no difference, the box was not damaged.
