87pushrod junk car
Bought this car blind, kinda my fault but its 24hrs away. I asked him if there was any rust or rot he said none also asked if it had a clear title he said yes. he also said it was turn key. The body is #### on the car, the strut tower is rotted all the way around on the driverside, the battery is dead and wont charge, had to get it shipped was suppose to be 550, shipper gets there and says the car dosent wont start, he said itd cost another 200 since it dosent run, so then i had to pay another 200 and another 250 on a battery, the ####in title is a salvage title, i dont even know if the ####er starts for 7500 plus 750 to get it to me. the trunk is rotted underneath, all the window trim is missing from the windows, its bull#### i dont car what motor it has in it, i was lied to, id i knew there was rot on it i would of never bought it. the ad is below, very misleading.

There have been a few people that have gone through the same thing you have and it sucks. I personally never would buy a car sight unseen, nevermind trust anyone to tell me the entire truth without researching the car first ie getting the vin to do a carfax. If I was really interested in the car flying or traveling to it to look it over physically would be the next thing so I had a piece of mind the big money I was going to be spending on this vehicle is what I would want to spend it on. It does suck to hear that this happened but in a way you didn it to yourself man. Today you just can't trust anyone when it comes to buying anything sight unseen for a large amount of money.

There isn't one picture in his ad that shows anything other than interior/exterior/underhood shots. No detailed undercarriage pics.
How someone could be convinced to spend $8000 on so little information just baffles me. I'm not trying to rub salt in your wounds, but damn, how do you send someone that kind of money without verifying what you're getting. Just an FYI.......I have yet to see anyone in your situation get any satisfaction, and I remember a few people in similar circumstances on this site. |

he wont answer the calls or texts, i told him i want my money back and ill send him the car back. thats the worst place a car can rot. and for the most part is unrepairable. im prolly gonna just end up parting it out and scraping the body.

Dont scrap the car, the frame can be fixed. I know you shouldn't have to with what you paid for the car, but if you do decide to part it out let me know on the body.

This may be of some use.
Fox frame replacement and Scott Rod panels. Don't junk it. That's an easyish fix if you're okay with a grinder and welder.

It sucks that you got screwed like that but if you take your time you can make it look like the rust was never there.

I hate this happened bud, but you bought a "RACE" car and most "RACE" cars are JUNK with expensive suspention and engines nothing more. I would've put him through the ringer with questions before I ever thought about buying it.it's not a total loss but it can be fixed.good luck,it could be a sharp car

im in the process of fixin the body. pulled the motor and trans, selling the trans and goin with a auto. atleast teh rot is bove the frame so im just gonna cut out the rot and the tower and throw a piece of 1/8in plate in there. its not that big of deal, if he would of told me i would of prolly never bought it or negotiated another 1k off the car.

hey man i own a car lot in louisiana and can tell you that if someone sell you a salvage or reconstructed title car and doesnt tell you, they have to take it back for up to a year. as long as you didnt sign the part that shows it is salvage or reconstructed(this is a seperate part on the title not the back. this is a federal law i believe, i know it is a law in louisiana cause i made a auction take one back here. Call the car commission in the area that the car was sold.
