Naw, the new knight rider car doesn't look that horrible. That looks like a gay batmobile.

I think a 67 with a matte black paint job and some awesome rims would have an awesome cult car look to it

Mine is really bad, I will redo it after its running. My buddy just got his probe painted flat black, its all in the clear. He has 2 stripes and they taped off the strips and shot it with clear and its really glossy, no different paint.

You own a fox mustang, the three things you should have in the glovebox is a igniton switch,TFI module, and some rubbers...-windsordeath

On some old tyme hotrod/ratrod sites they use John Deere Blitz Black. It is a satin paint that is tough and cheap to buy.

The john Deere paint is exactly what I used on my old bike. It's real easy to paint with and like you said it is pretty tough, it took a few stone hits pretty good. It was knocked over at a party once to and didnt chip or anything, just scraped up a bit.

My home paint job.

I have since put the stock pony rims back on. I am in the process of stripping the chrome from another set that I will be painting a dark grey or gunmetal.

I love the flat black and Ive been reading on that site about the john deere black, but I can't find anything about if it will stick to the rubber bumpers most cars have. Would anything need to be added such as a flex agent?

Cost is going to depend on if you are doing all the work yourself or having it done. If you have it done its going to cost the same as a regular paint job. They paint the car black then put a flattener in the clearcoat. If you are going to do it yourself its going to depend on which paint you chose, if you have an air compressor, paint guns, place to spray. I think I spent less than a hundred bucks to do mine, but I used rustoleum flat black metal paint from lowes at like 25 bucks for a gallon. I know I will have to repaint the car every few years likely but at 25 a gallon and a few days work I think I can deal with that.
