89 Coupe w/18's and Saleen Front Air Dam Rubbing

I have an 89' coupe that I just had painted. It's got 18x9 wheels and they rub on the LF side of the Saleen air dam I had put on. This happens when turning to the right. Not even close to full lock. Anyone had this problem? I am close to finishing this after 3yrs. and this is a huge let down.

Is it close enough where ull be happy with the turn radius? If so put the
limiters on it. Post up some pics of this thing too sounds cool

could have swapped to 91-93 fenders. has the car ever been wrecked? doesn't make sense why it's only rubbing on one side. luke87gt came up with a neat idea when he installed 18" bbs rk's. could do a search.

Here are a few pics of the car. Sorry no pic of the interference yet. Busted camera! The turn radius is nowhere near acceptable. I did a k-member swap but it rubs way too much. The holes in the K are only slightly elongated and would still not be enough. I'm just wondering if the '89 fenders and 18's are just impossible to do without major work.

I know the hood needs adjusting.

What size are the front tires? Many of the 18" will have the same overall dimensions as a 16" or 17". so it's not really the wheel diameter that is the trouble.

cheers

it's really a combination of the 89 fenders and the k member.i have seen some guys trim the inside of the fender extension for the needed clearance.
