which transmission?

I'm building 88 foxbody with a 347 dynoed at 450hp at fly wheel. My question is I have a AOD transmission and a C-4 transmission. I know that the C-4 is stronger but I like the AOD because of its over drive for gas milege. Do you think the AOD would hold up with a Mickey Thompson drag radial?
