Rough Idle 94 mustang 5.0

My 94 Mustang 5.0 has a very rough and choppy idle, car almost feels as if it has a race cam like when the idle is up and down a lot. My idle is not as bad when the car is cold but still jummpy the idle will go from 500 to 1000+ and back down sometimes dropping to as low as 300rpm and sometimes it drops so low it dies out.... I just had a supercharger, throttle body, new plugs and headers put on the car but I know that its not the extra draw of power because the problem occured before it was put on, I was actually hopeing that the tune aftre the supercharger may fix it but It didn't. Only other mods are Steeda 8mm wires, MSD Cap and rotor, MAC Offroad H-pipe and MSD blaster coil. Hopefully someone knows what could cause this, Thanks... Oh yeah my mass air was bad and that was also replaced at the time of the supercharger but as I said this occured before then also.

Clean your IAC. Clean your MAF. Then try to set your TPS. Chances are you will have to drill out the holes where the bolts go thru so you have more adjustment room.

There you go!! Good luck!

I tried cleaning out the IAC with throttle body cleaner and the idle is perfect now, EXCEPT when the temp goes over half way and then the idle starts jumping again... Thought I had it fixed but it came back when the car got hot. Powerdyne told me to run colder plugs go 2 down to a 23 and gap them around .30 would this have any affect on this problem, will it keep the car a lot cooler? Also the last coupke days I am seeing antifreeze on the floor but cannot find the leak could it be coming from my heads, I heard that the pressure from the supercharger causes head leaks sometimes. If it is a head leak i may as well save up and change heads I was going to go trick flow but Ive been reading a lot abot the explorer gt-40P heads.. I believe that is the # for them are these good heads, will they be comparable to trick flow because i know the price is much lower when you find them

i was always told it was a problem with the throttle bodies getting heatsoaked, and the tps woudl go haywire...both my 94's did the same...i put a 160 degree t-stat in it, and it helped a little...a little tuning on the idle speed at warm temp, might help it
