In my vert there is one forward of the shifter (under the dash on hump) and 2 right behind the rear seat.

My Cobra had 3(Mach 460). One behind/under the deck, and 2 under the rear tray.

How do you get at the one in the dash (in front of the shifter?) I've been meaning to take it out for ever now... Do you have to remove the dash to get at it? (Non-Mach)

Non mach systems don't have an external amp. Though an easy way to tell is to look at your radio harness plugs; two wide flat plugs=not amplified.

94CanaryGT is right, but if you ever need to pull one just remove the radio and you can get semi-easy access to it. I also go around the center of the dash to help get my hands on bolts, etc.

It has one amp behind the dash, I know this for a fact. I believe there were three types of systems. Basic, some upgraded form and Mach. I know there's an amp because I can see it and I had to bypass it when I put the radio in.

I'll look at pulling the radio to see if I can get at it. Does it help to pull out the little "cubby" below the radio as well?
