Yeah, try NLOC. That's where I bought my Gen1 for what I think was a good price.

I saw one for sale in the local classifieds about a month or so ago. It was yellow and black, good condition for $3500. I've been thinking about it ever since, and have been kicking myself for not going to look at it.

A close friend of mine just purchased a clean 94 lighting for around 6k. Nice truck but it is kind of slow bone stock.

If your interested I have a white 1994 that I am considering selling. I hate to sound arrogant but my truck is one of the nicest gen 1 trucks in existance. It is absoultly beautiful and nearly flawless. I've got all the SVT documentation and service records. Cosmetically it has been almost completely restored with several detailed touches including Gen 2 wheel conversion w/ brand new 295/45/18 tires (wheels off a 2002 Lightning) a Cervini's cowl hood, F-250 diesel front bumper (same as stock with inlet scoops), roll pan, bed cover, lowered 2" all around and brand new OEM headlamps, corner lamps and tail lights. Anything at all that has shown wear has been replaced down to the steering wheel, door lock and window switches etc... I can send you pics if interested.

Thanks
Dave

What seems to be the average price for one of these trucks? I looked them up on KBB but the local prices I have seen are several thousand more than what KBB says.

$7-8k is average. I paid 14k for my 1670 miler 1.5 years ago. saw a 2700 miler go for 18.5k last year.

KBB price doesn't mean much when it comes to a clean low mileage specialty vehicle like a Lightning. Much like the KBB price on a 93 cobra.

gen 1 lightnings pricing went to hell shortly after i bought mine. paid like 9200 for it and sold it for less then half that

i would have made more money parting it out

I bought mine for around 5k with 97k miles on it. The rust above the rear quarter panels is forming .
