Both times when the dealer looked at it they found no problems. They even said there were no codes in the EEC. I would have thought any time the car goes into limp home mode it would store a code.

So I have 2 questions.
1) Should it have stored a code regarding this?
2) Has anyone else had any issues with the ETC?

Thanks for the help

Yes, you can get a wrench light/limp home mode without codes. I had a bad throttle position sensor. It would drop me into limp home mode with no codes ... sometimes it would however actually turn on the CEL and throw 2 codes... but I would say 90% of the time no CEL/no codes...

So, yes, I have had ETC issues... LOL! Mine was however a know problem with the O5's having bad Throttle position sensors...

Now... my car turned the wrench light on the other day... the car was acting weird... like it thought i was pressing on the gas when i wasn't... I did the throttle reset procedure and that seemed to fix it right up...

Might be a long shot but.... why not try it:

Turn the key to ON (DO NOT START THE CAR!) and wait till all the normal lights in the dash go out, then slowly press the gas pedal until it is floored and release. Turn key off, wait about 6 seconds and then start your car.
