The car used to run perfect before it was down without a battery for a few weeks.
It stumbles slightly when cruising steady at any rpm. Also when the engine got hot (~210*) from idling for a while it would backfire (not loud, a popping sound) if I revved the motor slightly...but it would only backfire when it got hot (above 205*). I did the idle reset procedure and set the TPS at .96 I'm going to check the timing at lunch (I had it at 10*), and maybe reclock my ProM Any ideas or suggestions why it's stumbling while cruising??? |

In short: It stumbles and if the temps get up there it backfires (pops).
No changes were made to car (ran fine before)...just the battery was disconnected for a few weeks Last edited by '91 GT; 05-14-2002 at 07:05 PM. |
