the issue is due to the sample tube design on the C&L meters. when incomming air makes a 90 deg. bend right before the meter (like a CAI) the meter won read all the air that moves through the meter because a lot of the air is hugging the wall.
you can correct this problem by actually turning the meter until you get a more stable idle.
mine works great. although i dont have a CAI. just the stock box with K&N.
