The savings on a pair is 48-50 lbs.

I think we all have answered the question adequately but it appears that Macs Stang wants an exact answer(splitting hairs)

lol i just wanted to see if there was a difference as far as different brand heads go.

no disrespect for your answer i am just trying to loose as much weight off of the car as i can with this new engine swap.

my goal is to try and get the car down to 3000 lbs without me in it. so far it is around 3200.

They are all within a pound or so of each other, I imagine. A tubular front crossmember, tubular control arms, and other odds and ends will help your weight goals...

When I did my head swap in the summer I weighed both my old cast iron heads and my new aluminum heads. The irons weighed 50 lbs. each and the Edelbrock aluminums weighed 25 lbs. each.

you would be amazed on how much a bag of potatoe chips add to your stomach...

that 6 ounce bag of chips will end up being 6 pounds when they get stuck in your gut.....

It's all about how much you want to sacrifice on a driver. Racing seats, remove a/c, remove heater core, gut the interior - you name it. For the ultimate in weight savings, go to the lounge and look at the 96 Cobra/carbon fiber project that is a sticky thread at the top. It is amazing.

I dunno, but you could weigh each item with bathroom scales and see.

Factory seats are also heavy - some lightweight seats and rear seat delete would make a big difference...

just weighed my a/c compressor and it weighs in at exactly 20lbs.

I have to still pull the canister off of the firewall along with two more lines. so maybe 3-5lbs there.

also, I still have to pull the sway bar off the car. smog is out. I believe that was 13lbs when I weighed that last year.

cowl hood should save me some weight. probably another 20-25lbs I would imagine.
