Ford's 393 crank VS Scat's 393 crank

I'm getting ready to buy my stroker crank and I'm curious about the Ford crank. Has anyone used the Ford 393 crank? Is it worth the extra $$$ over the Scat crank?

What about the 393 cranks that Summit et el sells? Same crank as the Scat unit?
I have a feeling that one Chinese plant makes all the cast 393 cranks.

From the Scat Web page:SCAT manufactures crankshafts for clients like Ford Motor Co., Daimler/Chrysler Corp., Toyota and Nissan and many others. SCAT is also the source behind the crankshafts in many of the country’s top racing teams spanning the entire range of motorsports from Indycars to Top Fuel Dragsters to World of Outlaw Sprinters to Winston Cup.

SCAT does more than specialize in custom billet crankshafts, however. We bring our expertise from the most challenging racing applications in the world to within reach of both local racers and street enthusiasts alike.

If I remember right Ford buys the crank and the rods from scat for their 393 shortblock and crate engine.

Does the Scat 9000 393 crankshaft come ready-balanced to drop in the block if using a parts store 28 ounce balancer (say like one for a first generation Lightning)?

Their catalogue used to claim that they are balanced and ready to go in (not sure if they stll make that claim) but mines at the machine shop getting balanced to the assembly right now. I can't see why they would say this with so many different possibilities for rod and piston combos. It would help if they listed a target bobweight or something like that.

EDIT: The catalogue lists the 9000 pro-stock replacement cranks as balanced and ready to go, not the 9000 lightweight stroker cranks, My bad...
