I've read enough about it to know i don't know what i need. the 93 cobra, sn95 valve covers i have wont clear the roller rockers on the tfs 170 heads. So what exactly do i need, 86-93 gt covers with the baffles removed, double gasket, or do i need tall valve covers with an intake spacer and clearance the throttle cable? what valve covers fit and what size intake spacer? Car is an 87 fox, cervinis cobra r hood.
I use the stock foxbody (92 personally) valve covers but you will need to remove baffle and grind down the part that baffle screws to. This was with trickflow 1.6rr, tw170 heads, f cam........... Wait till you see what those heads do to your power, definitely worth the money
I can only imagine. been staring at them heads in my bedroom for five years. I'll also have a functioning t5 and a rear end that spins both tires too this time around along with the 100 or so pounds i took out.
I used the stock valve covers with trick flow 1.7rr the old black rockers they use to sell and tfs1 cam. I just needed to take the baffle out of the valve cover.
After talking to the shop, they seem to think the trick flow valve covers will work for the 1.72 rr. we will see
