Does it hurt to have too much fuel pump?

Got a good deal on a 255 pump and im probably going to make 315-325 rwhp

I don't believe so with a return style system. Anything not used is just returned to the tank to be pumped again.

For that power level, you will be fine. There is a chance with even larger pumps of fuel overheating as the small fuel line sizes on foxes (especially the return line) cause the pump to work harder and create added heat that continues to be circulated through the system. Even on those, the risk is pretty low unless you frequently run the tank near empty.

However with the setup you are going to run, you won't have a problem.
