You double check your valve lash? Sure oil it making it to the valve tips and lifters well?

Sometimes if you set lash cold, and it's supposed to be set "hot", they'll be noisier than usual. As the engine warms up, lash increases, on mine roughly .009". So I have to set the cold lash .009 tight and when it's up to temp, it checks perfect.

If you set it at .16 like you stated above that is your problem. I'm sure the cam card states .016

I had loud solid roller on a motor and it was the Harland Sharp shaft rockers. They had the geometry 20 degrees or more off on the adjusters. It would also eat up push rod tips.

They redid the rockers and that cured it.

So you need to check everything, even geometry between the PR and the rocker.

depends on the cam also because some cams are a very aggressive opening rate and the result is more noise but no problem
check the things mentioned like hot and cold lash and the Harland Sharp rockers also gave me trouble so I changed them

Harland Sharp made a new set of rockers with proper alignment. They charged me, but I hope they corrected this for future sales.

The new rockers are fine.

A tight lash roller will be quieter. Noise is more about lash, oiling, and proper geometry than ramp rates.
