Do I need to line bore my block?

Hey guys I had a question about my build first off I found a very good buy on a rotating assembly and heads its a 347 steel crank forged h beam Rods forged probe pistons etc i went ahead and got my bloc bored .30 over and cooked then took my rotating assembly up and had it balanced the crank mains needed ground .20 and the crank was bent .003 so I had that done and fixed up went ahead and set the crank in last night and soon as I torque the back two main caps down the crank locks up and won't budge I plastigauged all my clearances they all check out at .0015 except the back one its about .001 anyone have an opinion on if I need my block line bored or is .001 to tight? I double checked the bearings and they all say .20 on the back any help is appreciated thanks

Crank still bent. You wont be line boring the block regardless, line honing yes but thats not the problem. Sounds like the crank spun a bearing in its previous life, got really hot. You need to check each main with a dial indicator and I am sure you will see the crank is bent .001 and with .001 bearing clearance, it will lock up. Hope the crank was checked for cracks

Sounds like a hot mess. I wont mess with any import cranks that are or need to be cut .020, since this is the end of the road for that crank. If you hurt it again its junk. Should have used a new crank. Good deals in the used market are IFFY at best.

Did you just use the phrase "hot mess?" lol. This is what google thinks a hot mess is:

Fitting with a bent crank, no?
