Exclamation What are some symptoms of a bad TPS?

Could anyone tell me what some of the symptoms of a bad Thottle Position Sensor?


1990 Notch V-2 SQ, 3.73's, tremec, SPEC clutch, flowmasters, svo headers (Sold)
1993 GMC Typhoon #0642, PT-74, 75# inj, 3200 stall, stock ECM, 4200#'s (for sale)
(looking for an automatic Notch near NY)
2005 GMC Sierra CC SB D/A

Lack of idle quality.. IE surge demon.


The past, 86 LX 5.0, 89 Notch 5.0, 02 GT.

It should also throw a code, and you'll get a check engine light. I can't remember the code, but it translates to something like "Throttle Position Sensor voltage out-of-range."
