GT40P combo dyno numbers.

Just had my car dynoed the combo is stock GT40p heads with new springs, F303 cam, cobra intake, it made 277hp and 307tq. Only problem I had was with the FRPP headers, they fit the heads great, but the x-pipe would not bolt up to it. Anyone else have that issue?

tmoss has a GT40P combo, ported (lower) Explorer intake, stock HO cam, the other expected bolt-ons -- 277/330 at the wheels.

I had the same EXACT setup! Stock bottom end, GT40P, F303, 1.6RR, Explorer intakes, shorties and put down 276RWHP/310RWTQ.

2000 explorer motor, crower 15511, trickflow springs, 1.7 rollers, mac longtubes, just a water pump and alt for accessories, cobra crank pulley, electric fan, and it did 293rwhp/333rwtq on a dynojet STD.

That's 284/323 SAE which is still very good for a GT40P combo.

Nice - you'll like it.

I no longer have to pass the sniffer due to age of the car, so my stock low-mile Cat is comming out for an un-catted H and a 15511 cam will be installed as well. We'll see what happens then.........

little more duration and lift with essentially the same recommended ICL (109 vs 110), not sure how ramps will compare. I actually saw one cam guy recommend putting it in a 106......

Anyone have any input on the X-pipe not fitting the FRPP shorties? I have the same headers and now that has me worried.

One benefit of the GT40P's is they bump compression a little. I have similar combo to yours: stock 78k mile shortblock, GT40 heads, Explorer Intake, 1.7 rr, Crane 2031 cam (.513/.529, 214/220, 112), 70mm TB, AFM intake pipe, Pro-M 77 MAF, 24 lb injectors, BBK longtubes, BBK catted h-pipe, Dynomax Ultraflo Catback, SCT chip.

I had my car tuned last week and made 262 rwhp / 303 rwtq SAE corrected. My cam is pretty mild since I still have to pass the sniffer for emmissions and driveability was a top priority. I think I left a little power on the table by not having TMoss port the lower intake and by not degreeing the cam (just installed it dot to dot on the Comp timing chain).

Post up your dyno results once you get them.

Marcus

My heads are 58cc on stock bottom end with 82K miles. I'm just doing this until I get everything I need for my 347 build.

If they are 58cc I believe they are P heads. I think are regular GT40 heads are ~62cc like stock E7 heads.
