exhaust ???

460 fox body swap headers...

in the summit catalog they advertise the hooker super comp headers for $420.....

then right below that they have a frame mount for $120 bucks......

#1 what is that frame mount and is it required for the 460 swap..?

#2 is there any place cheaper than summit on them headers for the fox swap?

1: Its their version of a motor mount kit kinda like the Ford Racing ones I believe. But No you can mount the engine with mounts or motor plates. We chose the Ford mounts and they work fine with the Hooker Super Comp headers
2: I haven't seen any
If you are going to buy the headers I would highly recomend paying the extra cash and get them Jet Hot coated when you buy them. You will save some money this way rather that having them coated afterwards

cool thank you...i was hoping that it was a completely different mount...cause if them headers had to mount to the frame i was gonna pass on those and look for something different....

this whole 460 swap sounds rather easy but i still have several questions on how its done......

#1 do you have to modify the crossmember for the c6.....i realize the driveshaft must be shortened and worked to fit c6 and 8.8
#2 how much firewall mods involved or is it just BFH and go from there...

has anyone tried the stock radiator with a fan infront of it pushing air thru for the street ?

The only thing you will have to do is buy a double hump crossmember and possibly free the welds to allow it to slide back and forth on the ends. The k-member will not have to be modified at all, neither will the firewall. The motor will sit really high and tilted back in the bay and hood clearance is an issue but it will fit with no problem. As far as the cooling....I seriously doubt the stock rad will be sufficient, but it depends on your engine build. Check our link and if you need any more info or picts just ask.
