I intially did not want to post this, but since I am absolutely getting nowhere with this company here we go:
Ordered a custom painted radiator cover for my GT500 ($499) on June 8th; thinking Bangastangs' advertised 3 - 6 week turn-around would get me the cover by August 13th, for a national car show in Va Beach (9+ weeks later). After 7 weeks I called, because I had not heard anything. (I know, it is only a $499 part, I should have just waited for it to show up.) The person on the other end of the phone explained to me that a family emergency came up and they closed the shop for 1 week. I said I understood, but I need the cover by August 13th, if not by then, I DO NOT want it; this was 2 weeks from that time. The response was "no problem".
Well, I heard NOTHING for the next two weeks. All I get is a tracking number letting me know that it will be shipped on the 15th of August, a Sunday, which was well after I said I did not want it....
So the overall turnaround time from order to the estimated arrival at my door was 10 weeks and 3 days, OK, we can take a week out for the shop closure, 9+ weeks.
I refused shipment, like I said I would if not received by the 13th of August, 2010
No phone calls, no replies to my emails, still out $499 for an item that was over [b]4 weeks late.....
Bangastang thinks I am being unfair...Is this true? Am I? Is this a good way to do business?
